This law only taxes online ads in Maryland . . .
Won't companies just raise prices ?
@FearlessFly Facebook does not charge its users. Its sole revenue is frm advertising.
@wordywalt The 'cost' of using FB, Google et. al. is loss of privacy. 
If FB, Google, et. al pay tax for ad rev, won't they charge advertisers more ? Those companies paying for ads will raise prices . . .

@wordywalt I value privacy more that most folks I ever encounter, you might be surprised at the lengths I go-to to avoid being 'tracked'.
I don't/won't use FB/Google/Amazon/eBay et. al.
How about two tax tiers, one for non-targeted ads and another (much higher) one for targeted ads ?
eg. 10% for non-targeted, 30% for targeted.
Let's see how much violating privacy is really worth.
