Eurovision refers to a collaboration between European TV stations, the competition is open to any country. (even Australia enters now)
We won it twice before were joined the EEC and have never been part of the European mainland, same goes for Ireland who have won it more times than anyone else.
This nonsense in the video is the usual silliness of people being pissed off on behalf of their imaginary friend, who they claim could smite the whole thing himself but would rather see people put on silly hats and make fools of themselves to a world wide audience.
As I have said before if the Jewish/Christian God goes exist, he has a really warped sense of humour.

@LenHazell53 I’m aware of the history of Eurovision and the geography of Europe, and the fact that the British Isles (GB & Ireland) are part of the continent of Europe but not of the European mainland. I also know Eurovision has nothing to do with being members of the EEC (now EU). None of this information changes my opinion that Israel and now Australia should not be eligible for inclusion, as neither of them by any stretch of the imagination could be called “European”, no matter whether their TV stations collaborate closely with those on the Continent of Europe or not.

As for these Ultra Orthodox Jews and their protests...I find them comical in the extreme, like they are living in a time warp...but they wield a great deal of power in Israel as they are both a political as well as a religious force, and therefore dangerous and a barrier to any progress, equality and human rights.

Do you recall the year Israel won with "Diva" and the idiots protested their own victory when it turned out the singer Dana International was a transsexual and performed wearing a full beard.

@altschmerz The creation of the State of Israel was certainly sanctioned by the western powers to salve their consciences after WW2. But it is not by any stretch of the imagination geographically part of Europe.

@altschmerz I don’t really think so. I’d say it has more attachment to the USA, and there are a hell of a lot of Brooklyn Jews camped in the newly built settlements on Palestinian land on the stolen territory of the West Bank. Politically they’re much closer to America too.
