Creativity and emotional intelligence enables us to explore where some others "fear to tread."
If you're searching for your authentic self, creativity will enable you to find the path to discovery.
"..the creativity of open people stems from a “drive for cognitive exploration of one’s inner and outer worlds.”
I'm ok with the creativity concept, just as long as I don't have to do it too.
Shakespeare missed the chance to be succinct and say:
To be or not to be, just do, be.
Do be do be do, two lonely people we were mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm.
Psychobabble. I was married to an artist. Terry thought out loud. Around and around he talked, saying the same thing in different ways. Drove me nuts.
"What I hear you saying is this" I summarized in one sentence. "EXACTLY!" Terry enthused and he was off again.
Terry asked me to help him write an artist statement for an art show. "What is your goal?" I asked. Recruit kids for art classes. He wanted to reach parents. "How do you help kids feel safe to create?" Terry explained. I used the gems.
Terry gave me six pages that I boiled down to three paragraphs. Deleted vague, squishy phrases like "mystical connections," "magic," and "my artistic process."
Yes, it is psychobabble to some. It's important to remember that that no one size fits all, however. Imagination and creative can be a two edged sword. In humans, nothing works in a vacuum, since we are a sum of all our parts. A person's paradigm often determines who they become, and how they get there, wherever there might be. LOL
