When I was first married we lived in an apartment that had an incinerator in the basement. It was wonderful, the only thing I can burn was hairspray cans. Does anyone have an incinerator anymore?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I’m guessing they were outlawed everywhere. A lot of trash is toxic to burn, more trash is plastic at this point and even more toxic. Large electric generating incinerators use sophisticated scrubbers and cleaner to take care of the toxins and collect recyclable materials after they burn. Private building incinerators could never afford that.

We had an incinerator (suburb of Mpls), until they were 'outlawed' (early 60's) -- IIUC, pollution.
