Re: Liz Cheney:
I would not have thought it possible that anyone could bring a good healthy dose of honor back to the Cheney family name, but with her extraordinary stand against a fierce Republican head-in-the-sand leadership, she is pulling it off.
She may be demoted from her house position, but who cares? She's doing the right thing. It's shocking how far away from that concept Republican "leaders", including Mr. McCarthy, have gone.
There's a lot I don't know about her, but I like to keep a list of people I think are "ok" and that I would consider voting for in this or that situation, and so even though I'm not from her state, she's now tentatively on that list.
I hate that I find myself defending this woman regularly. She's doomed to fail Trump already owns the Republican party but I hope she continues to put up a good fight.
Cheney gets credit for being slightly insane compared to the asylum insane comrades of her party? I suppose you have to take scraps if that's all there is. How is it that Putin missed bribing her along with the rest?
As far as I am concerned, Liz Cheney's recent comments about Trump and I guess that party, and about the dishonorable attempts to undermine the US voting system, ... her comments in and around these matters are turning out to be not only quite sane, but downright heroic.
Please note how the heroism and honor of telling the truth runs through the Republican Party.
Okay, maybe not every single one of them is a cowardly degenerate. And that is your brain on religion.
