I just avoid these topics in particular because of the rather angry results it can get from people where I live

for the most part, there isnt any subject i won't talk about in public at some time. but there are a few variables to throw in. 1. certain people who i have a great amount of respect for, my grandma for example, there are things like religion and sex that, while i do still discuss them in front of her, i limit what i say. she knows, or at least did at one point, that im not religious.(she may be starting to get some form of memory loss due to age) i know that it bothers her. i don't hide it but i don't bring it up. and when it is brought up, i try to be as unconfrontational as i can. 2. there is a time and a place for everything. i didnt generally go into work and start talking about a bunch of hot topics. i may say something if its brought up, but again, if im in front of some sweet old lady and some coworker wants to know my favorite sexual position, ill probably wait till grandmas out of earshot. but any of those subjects, given the right conditions, i will talk about in public.

The only person that I am completely real with is my Shrink of 15 years. He's getting up there and retiring in his 80's. We had a frank discussion about how much of my wild 15 years needed sharing with a complete stranger. 2 years was agreed on. I'm going to miss him a lot. I'll discuss any subject with anyone in an appropriate place. I have had to have a friend walk me to my car when I decided I'd been messing with a crazy that might follow on more than one occation.

It would probably get me killed by so called Christians.

MY sex life. I’m perfectly fine discussing sex in a general sense, and I have no problem discussing MY sex with a partner or friends — But it will be a cold day in hell before I discuss any details on the Internet.

This day and age what ever you say in public some silly bugger will take offence at, in a world where apparently saying "hello" to some one uninvited or without express written permission can be construed as sexual harassment, I keeping my big fat gob shut.
