Without a dedication to oppose corruption, democracy is doomed to failure.

Take out the four words “a dedication to oppose” and we have “Without corruption, democracy is doomed to failure.”

@yvilletom I meant it as I wrote it. Unless corruption is actively opposed, democracy fails so badly that it can scarcely be said to exist. For democracy to work at all, stamping out corruption must be on par with defending the state. That is why the US Constitution is a farce.
