Wow. (Not overly fond of Dr. Rashad, but this is unbelievably startling.)
Texts books teach that slavery was Black immigration and that Barack Obama caused race riots in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland and promoted propaganda against law enforcement, making racial tensions in America, the worst in US history.

I went to Catholic school in Texass. It was a wealthy school but there wasn't any mention of race. Of course it was a few years ago. Wonder if these same schools are part of a charter school plan and get subsidized. Perhaps, in their desperation the religious zealots are hoping for another Crusades.
@SeaGreenEyez I would be interested in seeing how many and where these schools are.
@SeaGreenEyez Interesting and sad. I can see these books being written some time ago when some of the terms were 'normal.' One would think they would have been revised but I guess not. When at the U. of Md. European Division there were 3 members of a bi-racial family (father military/Black and mother white German). They referred to themselves a hi-yellah.' Talk about diversity, those 3 siblings were as different as night and day.
I can see why some get so upset at the term critical-race theory. It might be one way to upend the old terms and ideas and a revision is not welcomed by those stuck in their old ways. Funny, but my dad used the N word and a few other terms that are not acceptable today. However, he did not look down on members of the black community and was kind and generous when our family hired them to help at gatherings.
@SeaGreenEyez I am aware of that but many, especially conservatives, are not. Just the idea of such a course, real or not, sets some people off.
@SeaGreenEyez Still, not dying fast enough.
