What our educational system does to our children:
I believe that the evidence is pretty clear that a major advantage of having kids in school rather than home-schooled is the entire socialization process. Kids need to be around other kids to learn the 'rules' of life -- like the fact that no one likes the kid who throws sand in their faces. So if you want friends maybe you should consider this fact.
Yup. A study that was famous in the 1980s showed that when there were only five students per teacher, students were able to advance to a new grade every two weeks, only working two hours a day.
The rest of the school time is just kids being warehoused, doing "busy work" to spare parents childcare costs and provide a feeding trough for the NEA from tax money.
