During the trouble in Ireland one of the prime targets was the places of entertainment like theatres, pubs etc. It appears that the American people are now being subjected to similar behaviour.

Possibly to do with Trump's "trade war". (maybe being a tit, makes him very fond of tits, and that includes tit for tat because he thinks tat is an alternative spelling.
(Otherwise, maybe the two were secret agents with a private message for him to toe the line or else - and to show him the evidence against him.)
