Today is Earth Day. Since it's inception, it seemed ike a day of hope, until this year. This is a year of going backwards on the climate, of seeing animals go extinct, of allowing trophy hunters to bring the heads of the innocent, non humans back to America to hang on a wall, to see rollbacks on environmental protections, withdrawl from the Paris Accords, selling off our national monuments and beautiful wild lands to fossil fuel billionaires. A day of mourning.

I agree. I keep wondering how hard it will be to get us back on track, and what we can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
