Itβs always fun to read comments of people that know very little about the law. Iβm enjoying today.
With that logic everyone who carries a gun EVER is guilty because they are "hoping to shoot someone". But I disagree with that thought process.
This is also why laws and maintaining peace and public safety are important.
The whole and sole purpose of a gun is to kill. That is its raison d'Γͺtre.
The purpose of carrying a load gun anywhere is to kill. If you are openly carrying a gun that expresses your intent and willingness to kill, it is a threat personified.
@LenHazell53 Tell that to the criminals of the world. Convince them for us.
No, it does not mean all Democrats are criminals, but IF someone else was armed and intent on committing a crime, how do you defend yourself? The problem is the absence of peace and orderliness. As you could see the first person shot was suicidal, in midst of mental illness crisis. Threatening others. It was dangerous.
@Flowerwall If you need to ask questions like that, your perception of reality has been warped.
I live in the UK, a society that on the whole loathes gun culture BECAUSE we have seen what it has done to your country.
Do you not know the social state of your country is pitied by every other country on earth who does not actively loath your way of life?
The answer to a criminal with a gun is not a citizen with a gun. The answer to a siege with a gunman is not "a wild west shoot out" this is real life not a game, or a film.
Look at how things are handled else where in the world and then perhaps you may see why you have on average 1.5 mass shootings EVERY DAY when we have has three in the past thirty years.
What is the difference between us and you? What is the common denominator in all your tragic mass killings.
Guns and the social obsession with guns, devices meant for nothing, and good for nothing except KILLING
@LenHazell53 Listen I don't know how the government managed to wrestle away your basic rights as human beings there, but if citizens of the world were smart they would get their rights back. You should become more familiar with life in the US before passing judgment. Wisconsin is an open carry state, btw. It is the law here. No amount of outside disapproval will change that. And where you are " rising number of gun deaths in recent years that have the British authorities worried about an expanding smuggling pipeline from the United States....Gun deaths remain extremely rare in Britain... But the growing presence of American weapons on the streets, which has not previously been widely reported, comes as serious violent crime, like murders and stabbings, has risen sharply." People should be able to defend themselves.
I can't talk much about this case because it starts getting me beyond angry when I think about it - a minor is being chased by a mentally-in-crisis individual with a record of preying on minors, was threatened by him, and society is okay with saying "He should have been the victim instead". It totally fits the outlandish ideas you hear some extremists spread about Democrats pizzagate style ideas etc. The idea that they will let minors be victimized. Democrats PLEASE do better!
And even the President himself playing into the game of deception by labeling the minor a "white supremacist". I think it was below Biden to say that. Hopefully at some point he acknowledges his wrongdoing and apologizes. From what I understand Rittenhouse is partially Hispanic. So think about what a TRULY racist thing the Pres and everyone else is doing. They are implicitly saying minorities should never deviate from groupthink. It's unacceptable coming from a Pres., completely unacceptable, and offensive and racist. This is a PROBLEM.
@Flowerwall Carry on, you've done nothing with this rant but prove my point
I will say this much, if you think not being allowed to carry a gun is a deprivation of human rights, you really are deranged.
@LenHazell53 So absolute silence about the minor being threatened and chased by a child victimizer? Okay, I got it.
According to a chart I looked at regarding crime rate puts US 8 countries above UK in world ranking, with above indicating more crime. The US isn't perfect, but the UK is nowhere near the bottom of the world list. It's about in the middle.
