For more than a year now, with tacit and explicit support from their party’s national leaders, state Republican operatives have been building an apparatus of election theft. Hardly anybody is paying attention to democracy being taken apart piece by piece.

The democrats are the ones who are trying to undermine our democracy by trying to ban showing Photo ID’s to vote and allowing a bunch of illegals who will likely vote democrat to cross our borders illegally during a pandemic. Only a crooked corrupt idiot would do something like that.

Which is exactly why Rethuglicans are so called.

Unfortunately, I can do nothing to stop it. The people are believers.

@mischl Waste of postage. Phone call? Waste of time. Demonstrate/March? Waste of time. I live in a county that is hard and fast red, determined to bring back the worst President of all time. At the VFW on Thanksgiving, in a conversation with a post officer about how messed up things are, he said, “things are going to get better, I promise…he’s coming back”…I could only reply, “egad, I hope not”. We’ve got a Democratic Senator who votes with the Republicans.

@MsKathleen Yes, I live in a very red state. But there are thousands of us fighting against the ignorance. And thousands more hoping that we "lefties" will persist in helping to get more Democrats in office.

@mischl The GOP is devious. Gerrymandering isn’t their only dirty trick.

@MsKathleen Yes, that's in addition to lying, stealing, and cheating. Problem one big problem that WE have is they're focused. And driven. Whereas we Democrats seem to have a short attention span.

@mischl I am not a big fan of the Democrats, either, but they are certainly a better choice in our two-party system. And I agree that they lack focus as regards prevention. The problem is, they are nearly as corrupt and self-centered as the GOP. They act more in their own interests than ours. We need leaders who truly work “for the people”, but this kind of candidate cannot easily get elected, and if they miraculously do get elected, their party makes them toe the party line, or lose the financial support of the party. Average Americans have NO say in decisions made for our country. We need to have a national strike (sit down, no work, no spending except for food), until our so-called leaders start doing the right thing.

@MsKathleen You're right, of course. But good luck on getting our apathetic citizenry to actually DO something.

@mischl Thank you.
