They're putting the FUN back in FUNERAL...
Mocking anti-vaxxers’ COVID deaths is ghoulish, yes — but may be necessary
If the mocking of the suicidally arrogant ones helps to save even one life, then it is worth it.
Nothing new for the US, they mock every non-US death already and have done for ages. The whole empire has been built celebrating death. Yes ghoulish but necessary for blame to be assigned elsewhere, anywhere but self reflection.
So American's dancing on American graves is kinda to be expected, further inspiration for the world from the self declared worlds police.
As America inspires and other countries should try to mirror that society, you won't mind when many others in the rest of the world joins you in celebratory dance.
Quite a blanket statement there. Does everyone in your country do this?
@itsmedammit No, just the govt same as yours
Gosh, I’m of two minds. The human being in me thinks it’s appalling to mock people for suffering and death. It’s lowly and mean and vile.
Yet this is a new world where stupidity not only reigns, but is spreading — and that stupidity harms more than the person affected. It hurts communities. It hurts humanity. It hurts our planet. (Obviously I’m speaking about more than simply Covid.)
So maybe publicly shaming people à la Darwin Awards is a tactic that could work. Or perhaps it won’t. Perhaps it will just spread more enmity.
So … <sigh> I remain of two minds.
I am of the opinion that the thorough mocking of the anti-vaxxers is completely justified: they are the purveyors of suffering and death, and I have exactly zero sympathy for all such outrageously selfish and arrogant people.
To steal a phrase from cowboys-and-Indians films: the only good anti-vaxxer is a dead anti-vaxxer.
