(America is not the greatest country) "...but we were..." . Depends on what 'greatest' refers to. Right now, corporate corruption has a stranglehold on the political corruption, and only competes against Putin for that, and the Military-Industrial-Intelligence-Complex. The revered Constitution is bullshit for not dealing with the threat of corruption. The people are assholes for respecting money and power over Truth, integrity and compassion. The prevailing morals are totally upside-down for not insisting on competence, failing to vet candidates, and ignoring people's mental fitness. America's religiousness is a poison of sanctioned scammers. It's a much longer list...
@racocn8 We've always been assholes. From the early days when we massacred the Indians. subjugated minorities, demeaned women, abused animals. Human nature? Yeah, we suck as a species. Not all of us, but especially so many of those in power. Yes, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
