It sometimes just takes second to turn your life into black from white. Like a death of someone beloved, like a road accident, like a sudden crush, like cheating on your spouse, like so many others... Don't you think? It's so easy to destroy, but it's so hard to build. I don't believe in free will, therefore I try to not judge or be judged. But our society always wants to hold people responsible.. sometimes in a very cruel way. There's no tragedy, there's only winners or losers these days in our psyche.

Oh yeah I know that well.

Here in 'Murica we do tend to judge people and assume way too much about their motivations and weaknesses and so on. Even if that doesn't come from the so-called Puritan Work Ethic or your chosen group of god-botherers or hermeticism there are areligious sources such as Objectivism that are like that too. The other day someone actually questioned me on this very site why it would be a good idea to have empathy, kindness or compassion toward others. Probably some youngster trying to be philosophically edgy, but it's just as possible they were dead serious.

Stability, civility and happiness are fragile and life is short. We should all work together to make our society civil and welcoming to all who desire to participate in it.

I'm sitting in my surgeon's office waiting for him to tell me the pathology results from a lump removed from my chest wall 10 days ago. I'm facing this like other challenges I've faced in the past.

It's a challenge to overcome, to battle. Sure, there is that moment when you are thrown for a loop & you grapple with the thought if your own mortality, not seeing my kids, or this time around, my grandkids grow up. Then gearing up for the fight, educating myself on everything I can do to give myself an advantage, planning the sacrifices that will need to be made & how to mitigate impacts.

From experience, life is shades of grey & there are few absolutes. You make the best out of a bad situation & you move forward, even if you have to crawl. Stagnation is a death in & of itself.

Benign adipose lipoma. No more holding my breath.

This is what part of life is all about ! You just have to carry on regardless.

Having sex with more than one spouse is something that some people do. And sometimes it turns out OK. It's ridiculous to equate it to death and auto accidents.

I was not equating. I was giving example of how easily incidence can take life into a darker path.
