I've attended the UU church in Savannah. It was more important to me when my kids were small as they give information about various religions without the indoctrination.

I was a member of the Savannah UU church and I am reminded this "liberal religion" is consists of members from the surrounding Savannah community, many of whom are not so liberal.

@AlanMitchell Yeah. I don't go there anymore.

Religious conservatives seem hypocritical with respect to today's national political climate. What do you think?

Incredibly. "So what if he slept with a porn star? His sex life is none of our business." Then in the next breath, "Gays should be stoned to death, women should not have authority over their own bodies, and it's ok to marry & rape children, not necessarily in that order!"

They've always been hypocritical; it's just that these days, more people are willing to point out that hypocrisy, and fewer people are afraid of criticism from the right, maybe because it's so common.

@Notlost I was surprised like many, the current leader was embraced by the religious right despite the campaign rhetoric. Surely admitting sexual assault, banning a religious or ethnic group et.al. would cause Christian conservatives to run the other way...unless they believe Man is the head of the household and women should not be president of the united states.

@citronella I guess it's too much to ask that they examine their own hypocrisy.
