The Check In: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Late Night
I think the VA should go the other way. A lot of the crap that goes on would probably end if it were actually run by active duty military personnel, and vets would probably receive better treatment. I've run this idea by a few vets and they agree.
That's not a bad idea, couldn't staff all the hospitals that way, but a number in key positions & it may make a world of difference!
@phxbillcee Exactly!
FFS! I don't even know which way this should go? I do know Drump's appointment is laughable.
I know there were some terrible VAs in my time. I don't know if that's improved.
We'd get patients that had to go there - and it was so far away? And there were wait lists?
However VAs also seem to be the number one place Vets can get emotional support from people just like them? So um. Yeah if we ever have to vote on this I'll be asking a Vet.
We want to keep the VA, just fix the problems. Having outside alternatives, especially for specialized procedures makes sense, but if we privatize the whole thing I foresee disaster!
@phxbillcee TY I should figure at this point that anything the Dumpster wants is not a good thing?
@RavenCT Probably safe to make that bet!
