Absolutely lovely: I’ve definitely become a fan!
@Gwendolyn2018 Never too late! My late mother, who passed a couple of years ago at a few months shy of 100, was always artsy, with a good eye for design and color that reflected in much of what she did as a wife and mom: sewing, baking, etc. She was in her 50s when my dad passed of a heart condition. With her spouse gone and kids grown, she had to redefine herself and purpose in life, and took some craft classes to pass the time. She soon began to excel in a variety of media. Eventually, she focused on leatherwork, especially leather carving, and jewelry making, becoming an award-winning silversmith and gem cutter, known for her bold, modern designs. Her inner artist was always there, but it was only when life brought her to a certain crossroads that her talent and skill blossomed for the world to see! I think you and she were lucky to have that moment find you, and the rest of us are lucky to be able to appreciate and enjoy the results!
