Yes, it is, particularly in today's world. Many Americans seem to take a delight in being ignorant as if it were a badge of honor. They let others, religious, political or loudmouths, do the thinking for them. Always think about what you read and the source, and never ever accept something at face value. If it sounds crazy or implausible, investigate for yourself.
Those displaced white folks were manipulated by Trump on both counts.
