@rainmanjr money is not stable enough to be important to EVERYONE, but it is of course very important to some people.

'Matters' to me means "Put it at the top of your list" The top of my list is too crowded which is sad . What is needed is some universal means of sorting out priorities. Do I hope for too much?

@Mcflewster We humans can take our needs callously. I try to think about my breath whenever it occurs to me to do so but don't slow down my actions or break away from what I'm listening to or doing. It returns me to calm. I also listen to Zen stuff a lot. I see why sermons are popular.

@Mcflewster Zen talks do not tell us what to do. There is no morality to Tao, only lessons, and if one doesn't do the lessons Tao doesn't care. Comparing the talks to sermons may be wrong, for that reason, but it is along that line. Zen is accepting, even embracing, whatever comes along as part of the illusion.

I have learned a lot from you! One does of course have to be sure that the progress is in the right direction and sometimes that takes a while to establish. I do strive to be progressive but equally spend time on evaluation.

I agree but the cons have long been proficient at using lib words against us. Woke is incendiary because they say it is and they are the arbiters of proper. I'm inclined to shove woke and gay on them as often as possible. It causes greater cray-cray stunts and talking points for us.

@rainmanjr I never accused anyone of being disrespectful, not you or anyone else. My point was that if there is a better word than "woke" that POC would prefer then it would be respectful to use that word. Simple. If you are just trying to annoy Conservatives by using it that's different.

@MizJ I don't really like the word woke but I will only self censer. We create division when we go after simple words, used in common sentences like "I woke up this morning and stubbed my fucking toe." I will not be a party to such nonsense. Everyone is calling everyone else very hateful names and woke is your cause? Go after hate, not words, after you sleep on what I'm saying and wake up.
