Christians joining FFRF to counter the Christian Nationalism idea spreading in this country. Jan. 6 has become a tipping point for many people/groups.
”Amanda Tyler, executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty and leader of Christians Against Christian Nationalism, gives a powerful overview of the dangers of white Christian nationalism and affirms the historic support by many Baptist denominations for strict separation between religion and government. Tyler helped oversee a blockbuster joint report (to which she contributed a chapter) that the Baptist Joint Committee and FFRF issued on Christian nationalism’s role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.”
Nationalism is more dangerous than Religion. Certainly many here, do not agree with me, here on this site. Racists have gotten a lot .better, yet still a long ways to go.
I do agree…….Nazism and Fascism were extreme forms of nationalism. Many confuse nationalism with being patriotic.
Right now, it feels like a friendly dictorship in Canada.
Merrily they roll along.
Along with FFRF. That's a good thing.
White Christian Nationalism really sucks. It's in the same boat with Christian Fascists in my opinion. It seems that today the move is on to preserve white belief and thought even if it is wrong. I've had others ask me what I am going to do when my white race is in the minority. I give very little thought to the idea. We are all people. We should try to live our lives that way.
It's almost like they think minority races are treated badly or something.
There are some, more liberal and thoughtful Christians who see the problem. If and when C. Nationalists take over it will turn into a civil war to see who is top christian dog.
Thing is they're allying themselves with FFRF.
@JonnaBononna Maybe they're worried about payback.
@JonnaBononna Does anybody believe in equality for all? This is the reason I am not and cannot be for anything racist or white supremacist. This also takes in religions as well. People are mostly just plain dumb.
