What most people don't understand is that applying for a job, for the most part, is trying to convince someone you are normal, the type of normal they want. If you are Abbie Normal, like a lot of us, it is a weird form of lying, and if you aren't comfortable with that, it often comes across as being dishonest. When I have applied for my jobs, I tell the truth: I will do my job to the best of my ability, and I feel my ability to do this job is equal or more to the task. I will be here to do my job (though, back in my band days, I used to say that I will be here when I can, but will tell you if I won't be here and make it up to you..oddly, I had no problem getting jobs back then...haha). Now, as for your sister...you are waiting for them to call back. Problem solved. I am like a freakin' genius over here!
