I believe us all to be cells in global organism.
While we have direct authority over our lives, our time spent under the stars is not our own.
Every experience, every profound moment of realization or contemplation, every pain and pleasure, every question we ask brings us all closer to singularity; a collectively shared (empathetic) understanding of ourselves, each other, and the reality we are all a part of.
I love and appreciate you all as I do myself. It is a privilege and an honor to share the entropic and exciting experience of life with you all, for what is life if not a shared experience?
You've got better weed than me! ?
Fucking right
It's nice to think about, but I don't really believe it. Yes, we are all a part of the universe, but I don't see it as an organism.
life doesn’t really make sense to me otherwise.
Any particular reason you don’t agree, or is this based on feeling alone?
@OceanInADrop I've been reading some philosophy and some hard-core science recently, and I like to think I'm a more evidence-based thinker nowadays. I used to be very mystical, and checked out all kinds of things, but age and circumstance have made me more realistic. (And grumpy?)
@tnorman1236 actually, I’m right there with you. I’ve written a scientifically and logically coherent thesis that explains how such beliefs tie into real world observations. I beleive if you read it, youd agree it made a lot of sense.
@OceanInADrop That may very well be.
