So i'm sitting here at home with a mug of Fat Tug my fav IPA + a glass of jameison my fav whiskey at 7:00 pm, listening to Harry Nillson on spotify, while enjoying the view with the sun finally shining, surrounded by tall cedar trees & mt. arrowsmitht looming in the background. and it kind of struck me: how incongruous my place on this big rock we call earth really is.
here i am on this big rock which rotates @ 1000 m/ph while it orbits our star the sun @ 67,000 m/ph while our solar system orbits the centre of our galaxy @ 490,000 m/ph & all the time our galaxy is swirling around the universe @.. at that point my head started to hurt so i got up poured myself another Jameison & sat down to watch the 3rd round of the Canadian Open golf championship...
a great finish in the CAD Open golf tourn. the popular Irishman R. Mcillroy successfully defended his title.
Between the age of 15 and 30 a man being young and fit man plays soccer. At 30 years of age he takes to playing billiards and from 35 years of age onwards he plays golf. Which just goes to show that as a man gets older his balls get smaller.
actually, i started playing billiards at around 14. so kind of reverse order. but with the same outcome.
