Love them. And boy yes it is easy to get fat.
how well ii know
Back in the early 90s at a checkup the Dr told me I was about 30 lbs overweight. I said yeah I know. She asked me how long I'd been that way.
It was long enough ago I could actually remember -- 'about 1986'. Her response was a question -- 'So when did you get married?'. Me -- 'Oh'.
Fortunately since we stopped eating meat, weight hasn't been a problem.
We both stopped worrying about our weights over 20 years ago.
Great thoughts as usual @whiskywoman. Thank you.

Good stuff. I personally think the secret is paying attention.
Years ago I heard a nutritionist talk about 'fad' diets. He said that after watching all his career, he'd decided there was only one good rule -- 'fix your own food.'. It didn't matter if you were vegan, keto or what, as long as you sincerely watched and did what you did with a purpose in mind.
I stopped drinking soda about the same time I gave up coffee. The caffeine never bothered me but the acids and oils were messing with my digestion.
I didn't tell anyone but my wife -- just quit cold turkey one October. That Christmas I got about 10 lbs of gourmet coffee and an espresso machine for gifts. Ha, ha.
Ok. There was probably a message there. These days I pretty much only drink green tea and water -- with rare glasses of wine or brandy as treats.
Ha, ha, again.
