This is why government in the U.S. doesn't seem to work.

After watching this video please consider how republicans keep pushing legislation favoring the rich. The Democrats are better, but they are and have been getting worse.

The last publically funded election was Carter vs. Reagan. During the Carter admin there was about 30 lobbists for every rep, now there is over 3000. There won't ever be political will to change it, heck the fact that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Citizens United allowing unlimited undisclosed funds into campaigns we are screwed.
