I wonder if there been a rise, or if social media has just made it more obvious. Going back perhaps 300 years or so, every village has its idiot.
@anglophone I do think that social media plays a part. Much like the newspaper and television when they became popular. I think another part may be a cycle of events. Over population, easy access to products, confusing information, mistrust in institutions, and fear of the future either some or all may play a roll.
