Geographic distribution determines much about everything. That’s one reason I like to travel.

This is why patriotism is always suspect. People who happen to have been born in a country that is doing well are determined to hang on to what they have got and make sure they don't have to share it with too many unfortunate people from less healthy and wealthy countries.

No. Not a coincidence at all. It had to happen where my parents were living at the time.
It is not random chance as such and so many things contribute to whether your life is enjoyable or miserable. I was born into a lower middle class family in an affluent country. My early life would have been far worse than that of some born in poorer countries and better than some born more wealthy. I feel for the people at the extreme bad end of things, living with war or famine but beyond that, we are all much the same. We only know what we experience. I had friends of mine who were shocked when they gave their daughter a BMW for her 18th birthday, and she complained that all her friends got new ones and hers was 2nd hand. I was homeless long before I was 18 and I could not afford to buy either of my kids anything when they turned 18 due to failed relationships/bad moves on my part. I have friends who grew up in villages who never knew what currency was, yet they have had very happy lives and far better early lives than I could have imagined.

We were born where we were born by accident.. Mother earth yes, motherland No !

Indeed, just an accident of birth.
