In case anyone doesn't already know this brilliant hack.
I've used this method for corn on the cob for decades. My Mom didn't believe in kitchens so when she could teach me something re: cooking, it was a BIG deal. (She never stopped reminding me about corn on the cob.)
(I cut the time in this video by about half. But that's just because my microwave is powered to take out Russia, it cooks hot AF. You can decide how long it takes in your microwave. I've never had a tough cob of corn since she showed me this.)
I generally do mine two minutes for one ear maybe four for two. I started getting fresh corn much more often once I found this way to make it.
