It is also a bit of a big deal in that Charles is now the King and that will have people nervous and creates a shift in power and dynamics within governments while they sort out what kind of king he is going to be.
I am not a monarchist by any means but she deserves respect for what she has done as do all who strive to be the best they can be.

I agree. Some objectionable US professor called Uju Anya wished QE2 excrutiating pain in her last hours because of the British empire and slavery.
I wonder where she got her professorship from ?. A two week internet course maybe.
For her information the queen was born in 1926 many years after slavery had been abolished and the British Empire was gradually morphing into the Commonwealth
Over 70 years on the throne? That is one hell of a case of constipation!
