Religious crazies, having hijacked American politics, are now taking aim at Australian politics: [abc.net.au]
While there are some religious zealots engaged in politics in America we are FAR from having our politics hijacked by them. Once again you show ignorance of the topic you choose.
Say's the man who described a bachelor of science degree as "undergraduate"
@Austin-Cambridge ???? A bachelor of science degree IS an undergraduate degree, at least in Australia. This is easily verified information.
We may be far from "having our politics hijacked" but the GOP has definitely been hijacked.
@jlynn37 I'd say heavily (and mistakenly) influenced.
@Austin-Cambridge It really didn't take that long to search for the accuracy of what you said. But, here you go, and yw.
"A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) is an undergraduate degree awarded to those who study mathematics or a natural science."
@Austin-Cambridge Are you really that ignorant? A B.S. degree is without doubt an Undergraduate Degree. Look it up.
Do you really have a degree?
@Cyklone It is in the USA also. I wonder if the person who infered otherwise actually has a degree of any type.
I don't know, but I think overturning Roe v Wade was a big one. All it takes is a crack for them to slither through.
@RhondaShotwell Just winding him up dear, his describing others as "ignorant" is too prevalent and cutting where mistaken may be a more polite form!
@Austin-Cambridge Apparently you overlooked many people telling you that a B.S. degree IS an undergraduate degree.
Last, ignorant simply means "without knowledge of something, or somethings" we are all ignorant of many things. Why you would want to defend your particular ignorance is curious.
Centroism is always been the ultimate evil, no matter if it's religion or politics, absolute power always corrupts. Religion and politics are now the tool packages for the wealthy class. Who are the few profitable from war and poverty to the harm of the many.
Did it really spread or did Austalia have its own crazies all along. News is pretty quick all around the world and all that would be needed here is a suggestion that someone else wanted to pick up.
The local religious crazies have been taking something of a battering in Australia in recent years, and I see them now drawing inspiration from the evangelical Christians in the Land of the (allegedly) Free.
@anglophone
I have been quietly watching local events with a curious mind. I can't speak for the rest of the world or even the region, but I have noticed a bit of an increase in my region of several Xtian denominations are stepping up the effort to get visitors to attend events. I have also driven across a good bit of the nation and seen countless Xtian billboards. Let's hope this isn't the beginning of another Inquisition because they will be fighting uphill against people who have sense.
