So is this a dating site...or nah? It doesn't much seem like one. Has anyone ever met and had success from this place?
Could be, I think a lot of real world dating starts with social situations that aren't explicitly about dating. Probably better that way, who needs the pressure of rejection or rejecting that leaves no room for other options.
Yea but this is still not that social as it's over the internet, and I'm just not seeing anyone my age or close by on here
Not everyone is vocal about their relationships, Ben, when they are fairly new.
I suspect many of us are cautious about publicizing of crushes, especially when first beginning to care about another.
What if this person isn't who or how they claim to be? What if we eventually meet and the chemistry is just Wrong?
Can I deal with public ridicule, or is it easier to wait and see?
Be yourself, relax, enjoy our little soaps, dramas, and hilarities, there's someone looking for exactly you! - just hasn't found you yet!
That's sorta the risk of dating. Which if that is such a dress for you would be a good reason to not be on a dating site. Is that what this is?
@BenBattersby
I think there was a typo in your rely which prevents me from understanding it... I'll reply again, if ypud clarify.
Was this originally a dating site? never really thought of it like that.
There have been successes, but I think the site has morphed into more of a solid discussion and support site. I've had loads of interesting conversations and met some really strong characters. The dating side of things has actually almost disappeared for me, - it's great to be able to talk openly with like-minders. But if you see someone you like, message them. Don't wait for them to ask you!
