At a news report about a tornado hitting parts of Oklahoma and Texass one part seemed to present a double irony. Some people just refuse to get it. [krgv.com]
โ Trinity Baptist Church in Idabel was preparing to complete a new building when the storm ripped apart their sanctuary and flattened the shell of the new structure next door, according to Pastor Don Myer. The 250-member congregation was to vote after the Sunday service on whether to move ahead with the final work to complete the building, Myer told The Associated Press. "But we didn't get to that. Every vote counts and we had one vote trump us all," Myer, 67, said. "We were right on the verge of that. That's how close we were. "Myer said the congregation is going to pray on what happened, see how much their insurance covers and work to rebuild. On Saturday morning, a few members of the church took an American flag that had been blown over in the storm and stood it upright amid the wreckage of the original church building.โ
That is exactly how "Christian Nationalists" behave. They think they're membership in a cult makes them real Americans.
Okay, it may be rude but my first response was the laughing face emoji, that's just me.
Sorry their building got blown down but to raise the U.S. flag?!?!? That part made me want to puke.
Mine too, but then I softened it.
Their "god" has spoken.
But will they listen? Of course not!
@anglophone Shows just how devout they are, NOT. lol
"They would not listen/they're not listening still/Perhaps they never will." Vincent, by the American Pie guy.
Of course they won't. Ego trumps god's voice every time. If there is a god then I'd expect the next statement to be even funnier.
God to the godly: "Stop worshiping me, you goddamn idiots!".
Funny how often god chooses to pinpoint churches with tornadoes. Almost like itโs on purpose!
Maybe he/she/it is trying to send a message. Too bad they're so stupid to figure it out.
