Today is the birthday of a friend of mine who died in November at the age of 46. He was not a god believer, but some people are posting things on his page like "he's in heaven now" and "we'll see you soon". Pisses me off a little bit, and I'd like to set them straight, but I know it's not worth it. Anyway, just venting. Thanks.
When my (strong atheist) husband died, I was hurt and angered by all the talk of heaven, God, and angels- especially when it came from people who KNEW we were both heathens. We were married in the forest in a loosely Buddhist ceremony FFS. I had to remind myself that this was all they understand. Eventually, it comforted me to know these people didn't know him like I did.
Amigo...it really isnt worth it.these people are not you and are only doing what they have been trained to do.know which battles to fight and which ones to just walk around.relaz, bro
