I’ve heard and seen video of kitchen workers spitting or worse on customer food before serving it.
@Barnie2years This is really gross, but a couple of the guys I went to high scjhool with worked at a hot dog place after school and they used to brag about peeing in the pickle barrel.
@TheoryNumber3 just one of the reasons I don’t eat out much! 
@Barnie2years Even in the best restaurants you are never really certain about what takes place in the kitchen. During my student days I worked in a restaurant at weekends. I once saw a chef drop a steak onto a dirty floor then he just picked it up and put it straight into a frying pan.
@ASTRALMAX exactly! If I do it at home I rinse it off first! 
And I never spit in my own food.
