Here's my early Christmas and it's a resale man's delight. I've always loved resale shops and I found one that was going out of business. For $2 I bought an Acer desktop computer. That's right. It cost me $2. I snatched it up as the kid in me came out. I'm still excited because it works perfectly.
Well, not at first. Somebody had wiped the Windows 10 system way too well or it had corrupt files. No problem. Use the Windows Media Creation Tool and reinstall the system to fix that corruption. Next I added FX Sound Booster, Glary Utilities, and a few other neat programs. Acer computers have no speakers so I had extras of those along with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Since this is a desktop I use my Belkin USB WiFi adapter to be on the Internet from any room in my house. Small in size this unit is 4 inches wide, 10 inches high, and 14 inches long. It has 4 gigs of ram and a terabyte hard drive all in this little unit. Well ventilated unit, no fan noise and very little heat.
I'm impressed and happy as a lark. It's 8 below outside and I have 2 other desktop computers I could be on but I'm playing on this one. Buying something "new" does not always do it for me. At 76 years old I'm like a little child but to each their own. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.
