The Jehovah's Witnesses are no longer a "religious community" in Norway
I'm curious whether any of what they claim to have seen actually happened. buildnow gg
Maybe a Jehovah witnesses knocked too much on a door of a Supreme Judge, wail he was in the middle of sex with his wife.
Unfortunately we're supposed to have freedom of religion which seems to mean all religions (and even none). Unfortunately, we're not a civilized as some countries and are headed in the opposite direction. Now we can't even enforce our own rules (Johnson Amendment) in trying to regulate the speech of all 501 3's which includes religion.
In an ideal situation freedom of religion DOES NOT mean freedom to ignore secular law when you want to, or to openly preach as the LDS do, that gods law trumps the laws of man.
This Norwegian ruling is a first step in the right direction of putting religion in its place, that of being a hobby and a passtime like all other hobbies and passtimes, NOT something society is built upon, not anymore. (because when ever it is, you end up with mass murder and theocratic fascism)
Imagine if Stamp collectors demanded a philatelochracy because the almighty post office demanded it? Would anyone else take this shit seriously?
@LenHazell53 Why are sooo many religious so ignorant of their own prechings??? Do they not forget (or want to forget): With the coin displayed in front of them, Jesus said, βWhose likeness and inscription is this?β The Herodians and Pharisees, stating the obvious, said, βCaesarβs.β Then Jesus brought an end to their foolish tricks: βTherefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesarβs, and to God the things that are Godβsβ (Matthew 22:21, ESV). Obvious separation of church and state.
These same rules could also be applied to Presbyerians and Muslims. The head of the Scottish branch got excommunicated for attending his friend's daughter's wedding in a Catholic church. And Muslims are notorious for isolating family members who leave.
Maybe the JWs are an easy target as no politician will lose any votes by picking on them?
This is a step forward but I find people in general from the religious world haste the JW's. Everyone claims it is the door knocking. I see it differently.
Church believers want to have a soul, something their god gave them, and it can fly around instantly once separated from the body at death. If you love your god and follow his teachings you can see your loved ones in heaven, but this is not in the bible. Singing god's praises forever and ever is in the bible. Those nasty JW's. They are taking away from your beliefs and want to change them. Ask a Pentecostal or a Baptist. They know.
I had a Jehovah Witness come by my place about 10 years ago asking for a moment of my time! I said, βI would, but Iβm super busy right now making up a big batch of holy water!!! His eyes got as big as silver dollars, and he exclaimed, βYou know how to make holy waterβ¦.β!!?! I replied, βSure nuff, I just fill up my big kettle with water, then I put it on the stove and boil the βhellβ out of itβ¦..β
