I prefer rain. Currently lots of snow on the ground in these parts.

As for rain in these parts, Decades ago I lived in a small town Devils Lake ND. There was a time when the weather patterns had changed and terminal lake rose many feet. Driving along the lake to work in Ft Totten (Native American reservation) I would often see black smoke from the expanding waters of what were once lake shore homes then in flames as homeowners had to burn their flooded structures.

If it's any consolation, we are preparing for a rain storm here in Hawaii. I got all my errands done today, just in case we're asked to stay off the roads. I might even have to postpone a waterfall wedding scheduled for Saturday, due to possible flash flood warnings.

I'll take the rain, thanks.
