Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I guess it happened both ways: by contagion / education and by violence. And during the early Middle Ages a lot of people simply became Christians because their chief converted, mostly for political reasons (like Clovis from France, or what became France some centuries later)
