New COVID origins data point to raccoon dogs in China market
The GQP are having none of it, meaning they are loyal to their Fox mythos. In the next link, the comments section is filled with seriously sick statements from the MAGAs. If anyone had any doubts about just how psychotic the MAGAs are, check it out.
I suspect Covid came from a lab in Wuhan. My theory is a worker or workers got infected and subsequently spread it to others after leaving the facility. Does that make me MAGA? What makes you think it started with a coon dog or a pangolin (wtf is that?) from a wet market?
A pangolin is a highly endangered little animal...covered in scales...which the Chinese like to eat! [duckduckgo.com]
A theory is only as valid as the data upon which it is based. You didn't mention any. The article does.
The Lab Leak theory remains possible. However, the covid sequences bear greater resemblance to those found in the pangolin. The lab leak theory has been PROMOTED by Trump/Fox/GQP as part of their fondness for expressing racist tropes and lead-in to denouncing Hunter Biden, Fauci and China.
If the purpose of any investigation is to determine how the virus originated with the aim of the prevention of future outbreaks it is to be lauded. However, if where becomes the focal point to assign blame and to point the finger to stir and stoke public outrage it is simply base in intent. The upside is that there is considerable research into airborne viruses.
They don't really care where it originated as long as they have someone to blame it on. That is what conservatism is all about: translating fear into hate.
Most of the Republicans I encounter online are illiterate, never made it out of their hometown, don't understand what evidence is or how facts are established and have zero understanding of expertise because none of them have any. As a result, they have no regard for the truth. Never trust a Republican.
