Here's that anti-trans (bullshit allegation) activist from NZ. Amazing she needed police protection until she left, but not at the event.
A bit of a shame the interviewer is a gushing fan but, not a bad interview.
It seems her main gig is a demand that women be allowed their own spaces, like toilets, that are only for women. Fair enough. To interpret that as anti trans is such BS. That's like saying it's OK to have women's spaces, but if a person who is not a woman but identifies as one wants to join in, you have to accept that regardless of how the women who utilise that space feel because transexual feelings are much more important. That seems to be the argument to me. A crazy argument.
Only one in 10,000 people is a transgender, and just a few of violent ones don't speak for the majority of trans. Biological women make up more than 50% of the world population. Not ever seen an attack on free speech this bad. Many comedians and Jodan Peterson have had many death threats. Jordan from Canada said this is the first time in English speaking colonial countries history. Free speech can be arrested, heavily fined and jailed for using the wrong pronoun. Caitlyn Jenner threaten Ben Shapiro, if he doesn't shut up he is going home in an ambulance on TV. Certainly not lady like for the woman of the year. We are going backward from claims trans can have babies. Even my daughter gets upset with me, for not dating a transgender. I said first, I'm in love with a natural woman now and second gays or trans don't turn me on.
Have to disagree with you there, a lot more than one in 10,000. In an open society towards transexual lifestyles, like Thailand, there are much more. I have read one in 3 which is way too high also (but the other side of the scale). I always had at least one ladyboy, or a tomboy or gay student in all of the classes I taught in Thailand and sometimes 2-3. They are large classrooms ie 40 people which, lets say 2 out of 40, is one in 20 belongs to the LGBTQ crowd (my experience).
Transexual boys who wanted to be girls were always the loudest and most in your face. They are totally accepted which does not mean all approved of their lifestyle eg some boys were friends with ladyboys but many avoided them also. They have class captains over there and most were ladyboys. I asked another teacher "why" once and they told me "Because they will rip it up the bully of the class but also the prettiest girl" which I saw the truth in that statement. Ladyboys are loud for the most part with no fear, in Thailand at least. Transexual "Tom boys" were far more subdued.
The crowds behaviour was disgusting but they were incited before the visit by the media and the government, who publicised they attempted to ban her from entering. A major danger to peaceful society as Novak Djokovic was also. What a croc of shit.

Traveled 6 continents, would have to say Thailand is the most popular place for prostitutes and trans. Probably because of the Vietnam War. For transgender and transsexual people, this process commonly involves reassignment therapy (which may include hormone replacement therapy and sex reassignment surgery), with their gender identity being opposite that of their birth-assigned sex and gender. Trans clinic in the US went from 1 in 2009. To 300 clinics today with 9000 operation a year and a few to many operation to be a complete transgender. So one in 10,000 is closer to a true trangender rate.
@Castlepaloma Surgeries are not done on adolescents in Thailand, think hormone blockers may be used. Ladyboys have to wear their uniform like everyone else, but they do like to sneak in a bit of makeup. Dead against surguries for under 18's at least, under 20's better imo so you can be sure the decision was made with a fully developed, mature mind. Free from coercion.
PS You have not been to Kolkata in India. Prostitute city with a huge red light district, mostly human trafficking. Slum dog millionaires was such a good movie, giving a realistic picture of what India is actually like.
The thing with prostitution in Thailand, 97% caters for Thai's. Where I used to live is surrounded by karaoke bars full of girls from Laos, with the main clientele being cops. Used to make me laugh, every now and then there would be a raid because they were all there without visas (Mekong River only 10km away, border with Laos, cross by boat). They would load them on buses and send them home. A week later, they would be back and a few months later, do it all again. Nice girls, out to make a buck as nothing is in Laos unless you want to be knee deep in mud and leeches planting rice for a living, not many oppourtunities but it is improving.

Not ever paid for a prostitute, sure thought about it.
@Castlepaloma Because I worked in Laos and speak both Lao and Thai, I used to enjoy having a beer and a chat. No real bars in rural Thailand, you go to karaoke bars instead.
I never saw real sleazy, human trafficking type stuff (except India) but have no doubt it happens in Thailand. The girls are there to make money and have seen them reject those they don't want with no repercussions from their boss. They know they can make in a night what it would take them a month back home. I do not think less of them at all, they have my respect. They know it's not the greatest job and are nice people. I do get angry if families pressure their pretty daughters into the game to send money home. The worse type of human who would use their offspring like that, which happens a lot unfortunately. All the expats around me, including myself, were in steady relationships so we were not customers as such, just drank and ate, listen to music. The Thai grapevine is very efficient ie none of us would risk getting our dicks cut off and fed to the ducks as the Thai's say. But as you say, awfully tempting at times.
