Up to now, it was assumed that Russia had the 2nd best army in the world.
In actual fact it has the second best army in Ukraine.

I think the Russian army is the second best in Russia. I believe the Wagner Group is numero uno.

Quite possibly, which makes it a cause for concern to Putin.

China, North Korea, Germany, India Pakistan and even France are more powerful military than Russia

Unwilling conscripts can never be a match for determined patriots fighting for preservation and protection of homeland and family…regardless of superior numbers and equipment. It’s a case of right repelling might.

Much to Putin's surprise. After his relatively easy "putsch" in Crimea he thought Ukraine would be a pushover. He didn't allow for the fact that Ukraine had had 8 years to prepare for further Russian agression, part of which involved creating good relations with the rest of Europe.

@Petter Yeah nah. Got armed/ trained by NATO but relationship with Europe improved? The civil war continued with no chance of joining the EU whilst that is happening, against their charter.
