In actual fact it has the second best army in Ukraine.
Unwilling conscripts can never be a match for determined patriots fighting for preservation and protection of homeland and family…regardless of superior numbers and equipment. It’s a case of right repelling might.

Much to Putin's surprise. After his relatively easy "putsch" in Crimea he thought Ukraine would be a pushover. He didn't allow for the fact that Ukraine had had 8 years to prepare for further Russian agression, part of which involved creating good relations with the rest of Europe.
