I grew up in Seattle near Alki Point and Alki Beach. "Alki" meaning "by and by" or "someday" as a place to take your time.
Now I live in Hawaii, where nobody's in a hurry, and the pidgen word for "by and by" is "bumbai" which is the only indication we might have for when something will be ready, if not now or tomorrow, but later.
