For me, this is encouraging as it shows the fear of being cancelled is diminishing. All strength to him in standing up for children and against grooming aka indoctrinating.
There are true gay and lesbian communities that work. The LGBTQ community is not a community , there are too many narcissistic and holding back the understanding of L and G people. There is 80 countries where gays and lesbian are illegal. The LGBTQ is not advancing in the eastern countries and it's just causing more resistance.and problems.
If SE Asia/ India is included in "Eastern countries", I would strongly disagree with you. Remember, the whole demonisation of alternate lifestyles is largely due to religion. Normal people don't give a shit what goes on behind closed doors between consenting adults.
Even in the states it is a recent "awakening" ie Obama/ Biden/ Clinton were all against gay marriage not so long ago.
@puff
I don't care myself what goes on behind closed doors, yet the religious are as opposite that can be against LGBTQ and there is more of them in the population than non believers. One example.
@Castlepaloma I'm not really referring to individuals but society. Centuries in the making the demonisation of gays, now embedded into many cultures/ societies.

Once had a deep conflict with my brother who is a pastor over same sex marriage. I managed to change his mind as Canada was the first to legalize same sex marriage and people should be able to love any adult they want.
Couples in India await the Supreme Court's decision on same-sex marriage, which may pass.. I don't think the T and Q belong with the LGBs community.. Exspeaclly in gender sport and castration of children genital organs in public school without parental acceptance. From traveling much of the traditional eastern countries, don't see transgender happening in my lifetime.
