Whilst driving today I noticed a car accident on the other side of the motorway, the emergency services were all there, fire, police, ambulance and also highways agency personnel. I thought, we spend all this money on saving people's lives yet there is a huge business in selling weapons and having armies for killing people. Is it just me or is something not quite right?
We're paying for all these services as they could save our lives. It's also true that our money is being paid for things that put our life in danger. But they are connected. None works without the other. We all work to build our retirement savings and find other types of accounts like a rainy day fund and an emergency fund. It shouldn't bother us as much, but at the same time, we choose how much we allocate to each account. And when something is not as expected, or our bills are not refunded, we get an nc personal injury lawyer that helps with all the stuff. Everything is cyclical and dependent on a previous action.
I see emergency services as proof of human compassion and empathy. Naturally, they require resources..money, training, equipment, etc. But, imagine life if we didn't prioritize them? The NRA, on the other hand, is proof of human fear and insecurity. They feed on fear. (Nice image, yes?)
Isn't it basically the same, business and making money. The ambulance company is making money off the incident as is the hospital and the firemen and policemen are getting paid. But it is a little ironic that we humans put as much effort into taking away life as we do in trying to save it.
No, it's not just you at all. some people have really expensive cosmetic surgery while hundreds starve to death every day. there has got to be something wrong with that.
