I don’t expect to be alive for it.

I intend to live a long life. So, it is possible I may see see the end of civilization near the end of my life.

In 1960 the world's human population was only around 3 billion. Today it is around 8 billion. That kind of growth is not sustainable. Add in climate changes that is changing world weather patterns, and there are crop failures and famines in our future. Considering that some wars in the world's history were fought due to a lack of food (such as the French and Russian revolutions) and the fact that we have enough nuclear weapons in the world to turn the planet into nuclear slag, and the lack of any real efforts to slow or stop climate changes, and I'd say it is likely that the human race may be creating the circumstances that brings about our own extinction.

@snytiger6 Hope that works for you.

This reminds me of a woman I used to work with who asked me what would I do if I died and all those DVD's and CD's I made for my daughters just got thrown away. I told her I would not do anything because I would be dead.
