loved that movie. Maybe guys can use the scene with the sexy woman as a dating hint
It is one of those movies that you either love or you hate. I LOVE IT!
And here comes that lovely lady:
Take the hint guys, and watch this training film
I love it! ♥
Too many to number. Usually pop or rock tunes tend to remind me of exactly what was going on in my life at the moment, people I knew, events and so on...and the mixture of 'sad' and 'sweet' is sometimes overwhelming. THIS one springs to mind, the chorus is just SO damn wonderfully sung, I tear up when I hear it, as it reminds me of a girl I was living with who broke me heart, and remembering those times is the DEFINITION of 'melancholy' for me...
The song I used for the post was a very silly one, and I really did not think about the direction this post could take. More and more people are posting songs that elicit very emotional memories.
Your comment brings back memories of my first love in the songs that we would listen to together. I ended up with a broken heart, but looking back on it I am more the cause of that than she was.
My sailor boyfriend Rainer brought this record home for me. He was a lying piece of shit but oh, so sexy. I can still see him walking down the street in his black Prince Albert coat, looking like James Dean in New York City. My heart still clenches.
Yes, there are many, but the song Mississippi by pussycat, holds a place in my heart as the song that was playing the very first time I ever fell in love
That is a powerful memory!
I had someone very close to me commit suicide. He loved Journey. He would sing Journey songs. So whenever I hear these songs I think of him.
Journey - Wheel in the Sky
That is sad. I do understand that type of memory associated with a song. My mom died last August, and my younger brother who I was very close to died unexpectedly the day after her funeral. I selected a few songs for his service, but my favorite, and now the one that will always remind me of Dickie is Spirit in the Sky, by Norman Greenbaum.
Xoxo ♥
@Caroleanne Thanks.
this reminds me of my mother who was bipolar and mad as a box set of frogs - she loved this song although I am not sure that she was ever capable of being in love so I love it for her and in memory of a mother who couldn't realise any of her own dreams
@jacpod What a wonderful memory!
Procedural question: Is it permissible for a Poster to assign homework?
I have never heard the expression "mad as a box set of frogs" before. One of my first posts after I became a member of agnostic.com was titled "Unusual Expressions (post #25751)." I would love it if you would visit that post and talk a little bit about what it is like to be mad as a box set of frogs.
