How stupid! Tim Cook is NOT "Calling for Complete Extermination of Life on Earth."

Apple slammed over cringeworthy zero carbon video starring Octavia Spencer as Mother Nature who scolds CEO Tim Cook and staff about their green credentials

"Apple has been slammed over a bizarre movie showing CEO Tim Cook and staff being scolded over their green credentials by Mother Nature, played by Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer."

"Apple unveiled their long-awaited new iPhone 15 at the company's 'Wonderlust' event in California. Along with the release of their desired new gadget - they released a less desired video skit that viewers are calling 'cringey', 'corny' and 'bizarre'."

"The Tech giant interrupted their release event to showcase the five-minute-long drama, which Apple CEO Tim Cook later posted on X (formerly Twitter) and said: 'At Apple, we believe that climate change is one of the world’s most urgent priorities and we are deeply committed to doing our part."

'Today we had a special guest—a real force of nature—stop by to check on our progress.'
The special guest was 'Mother Nature' - played by the Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer, 53 - who berated Apple board members for the company's carbon footprint, only to be repeatedly told of efforts the firm had made to reduce their emissions."

"At Apple, we believe that climate change is one of the world’s most urgent priorities and we are deeply committed to doing our part. Today we had a special guest—a real force of nature—stop by to check on our progress"

"Employees went on to brag about Apple's environmental accolades such as eliminating plastic from packaging and operating on clean energy."

"But many raised a proverbial eyebrow at the glossy skit, filmed at Apple's vast One Infinite Loop HQ in Cupertino, California."

"Journalist Peter Lloyd said: 'You mass-produce your products in China - one of the world's biggest polluters."

"One claim made by an 'Apple worker' in the skit was that the company had planted  'forests' in Paraguay and Brazil."

"The tech's company's claim comes after a report in Science accused a group of giant firms - including Apple - of greenwashing by making big claims about their environmental contributions without providing detailed reports to shareholders or the public."

"Marine biologist Tim Lamont was the lead author for the Science report, he told DailyMail.com: 'No business reported perfectly across the board'."

"Apple also boasted about the materials they use in their products in their skit, with one 'employee' saying: 'We're also currently using 100 percent recycled aluminum in the enclosures of all our MacBooks, Apple TVs, Apple watches...'"

"But Apple haven't always been proud of where their technology's materials came from.
Apple were accused in 2016 by Amnesty International and African Resources Watch of lax oversight of their cobalt supplies."

Tim Cook, 62, has been chief executive officer of Apple inc. since 2011

"The Amnesty report claimed that children in the DRC as young as 12 years old were working underground digging up the metal in mines to produce cobalt for tech giants such as Apple
In 2019 Apple was amongst a group of companies accused of exploiting child labor in the Democratic Republic of Congo by African families who said their children either died or were severely injured while mining cobalt to be sold to the tech giants."

"If a history of profiting off of slave labor and a reputation for greenwashing isn't enough to make a mockery of Apple's show-off skit, perhaps the fact that the company mass produces their products in China - the world's leading polluter - will."

"The skit ends with Apple CEO Tim Cook promising 'Mother Nature' that 'by 2030 ALL Apple devices will have a net zero climate impact'."

State of the Nations tag line is: "Alternative News, Analysis & Commentary"

Yes, "Alternative News, Analysis & Commentary" against the truth.

"To permanently remove carbon from the atmosphere " you are defending that statement do know what happens if you remove carbon from the atmosphere....

@1patriot You have no clue as to what you are saying.

@nogod4me obviously you have no idea......look it dummy you are carbon all plant life and animal life is carbon

@1patriot Tim Cook is NOT "Calling for Complete Extermination of Life on Earth." To believe such nonsense is stupid. You need to get some help, stop believing ridiculous conspiracy theories.

@nogod4me he says it in his advertisement

@1patriot You can't be that stupid. He is talking about lowering Apple's carbon footprint, not the complete extermination of life on earth.

@Druvius Lowering carbon is not stupid. Accusing someone of "Calling for Complete Extermination of Life on Earth." is beyond stupid, especially when they didn't even come close to saying such nonsense. That takes a very special kind of stupid.
