There’s so many conflicts of interests at work here it’s laughable. This is why I’m a pharmaceutical skeptic. It SO unethical to have a profit driven medical industry anyhow, right….

In November I will see my doctor again. I'm going to tell her to quit trying to scare me. Yes, I have a higher potassium but I've had that for a year now. I'm not afraid of heart attacks because of it and I'm not likely to stop eating my high potassium foods. I'm also not taking a med to lower it. She will be told that I come to her so my 4 prescriptions can be easily renewed. I don't give as damn about a program ands I do not need a medical savior. If she does not like my frankness maybe she can recommend me another doctor. I have nothing against her. It's just that i do not want to play games.
It is your doctor's duty to inform you of the best and most affective medical advice. It is absolutely your choice to follow their advice or not and accept the probability of an unnecessary and painful death or total disability due to your stubborn ignorance.
@Buck - how many have you read ever? Or any of the internet health Gurus? It is also your choice to request another trained health professional opinion if you are not confident with your current doctor.
@Buck - let's just say that I am highly skeptical of your claim... but then I will get a second opinion due to my lack of confidence in your training.
@FrostyJim Be as skeptical as you wish. I regularly educate my physicians on the latest research before any treatments are given the green light. You clearly prefer to be ignorant about your care and latest treatment options, and you’re certainly welcome to take that approach.
FYI, this reply is even stupider than your last…..
I would rather trust a scientist with a PhD than some hippie scammer on YouTube selling caffeine enemas? It is your choice - but you have a higher probibility of an unnecessary painful death. The high cost for medical treatment is another story. We should have universal Healthcare like every other developed country. That is not free Healthcare.
The Medical Industrial Complex. Especially when you consider how much the executives with medical corporations and insurance companies are making. I have less concern for the scientists and medical center staffs. Those who carry out the hard work. But the bureaucracy and management of all things medical is out of control.
